Developed in collaboration with Diamond Schmitt Architects, Innovation Village brings 95,000 square feet of flexible, purpose-built space to the heart of the Fanshawe London campus. The building is designed around connection—between students, faculty, industry partners, and the broader community—creating opportunities for learning, experimentation, and exchange throughout. Every space supports hands-on exploration, whether ideas are being tested, shared, or brought into the world.
The building includes a range of environments that support making, learning, and collaboration. Maker Spaces give students the tools and room to turn ideas into physical form, while the XR Lab uses extended-reality technology to expand how spaces are experienced and understood, allowing users to explore, learn, and move through digital environments. Learning and pitch rooms provide settings for students to present ideas and solutions, complemented by collaboration rooms designed for teamwork and creative exchange. Two applied research labs support local businesses through access to emerging technologies, strengthening ties between the campus and the community.
An entrepreneurial incubator, Leap Junction, offers space and support for students and alumni developing new ventures, while Forwell Hall serves as a flexible venue for concerts, conferences, and campus events—bringing people together in one shared place. Innovation Village is a place that supports learning, collaboration, and discovery at every scale.
