The new Port Stanley brewery and restaurant is a renovation of the old Dominion of Canada (DOC) building. Before the WW II, Port Stanley harbour was one of Canada’s top ten international ports of call, along with the London and Port Stanley Railway, the region benefited from commercial trades with the US. The Dominion Building was a federal “customs and tariff facility” for monitoring international goods. Located just a short distance from the beach, the renovation will bring a new life to the old building. The proposal contains a restaurant with a dining area of 40 seats, as well as two covered patios, on each side of the building, adding to a total of 270 seats. The building will count with 14 on-site parking and 64 existing off-site parking spaces.
